Appearance Guideline
For Dress Rehearsal and Recital -
Please have your dancer arrive with their stage makeup on and their hair done.
Hair should be styled neatly and securely for performance.
✓ Long hair should be in a ponytail - sleek, curly, or in a protective style.
✓ Short hair should be styled neatly and secured out of the face.
✓ For make-up, how much you apply is absolutely up to you as the parent. We recommend neutral colors for eyes, cheeks and lips, plus mascara and eye-liner, and eyebrows for older dancers.
✓ For those who don’t wear makeup, we still highly recommend powder, chapstick, a tiny bit of blush and mascara. If they have very light lashes a quick dash of mascara can go a long way under stage lights. Also, if the eyebrows are very light, adding some color to the brows goes a long way too!
✓ Please remove all nail polish or wear a natural blending color. Long nails can be dangerous to our fellow dancers. Thank you for keeping them at a reasonable length.
✓ No necklaces or bracelets. No dangling earrings. Post earrings only.
Thank you for keeping your child’s costume uniform with the class and for helping them to have a wonderful performance!
