What to expect - Dress Rehearsal

DRESS REHEARSAL is the last complete rehearsal, using costumes, scenery, lighting, etc.

During dress rehearsal, we spend some time making sure all lights, back drops, cues, curtains, and dancers are working together seamlessly. Please understand that there is much going on “behind the scenes.” We thank you in advance for your patience as this may take some time.

DRESS REHEARSAL will be held at Platteview High School Auditorium.
14801 S 108th St, Springfield, NE 68059

To help you prepare, let’s walk through the step by step process of Dress Rehearsal:

✓ You will receive an email with your specific arrival times for Dress Rehearsal.  Please arrive on time and do not be late. Please plan for each routine to take approximately 30 - 45 minutes.

✓ PARENTS ARE IN CHARGE OF THEIR OWN STUDENTS FOR DRESS REHEARSAL.  Please do not bring other siblings that are not dancing on that day.

✓ There will be no backstage chaperones.

✓ ARRIVE IN YOUR FIRST COSTUME, READY TO GO.

✓ YOU WILL GO INTO THE AUDITORIUM AND BE SEATED WITH YOUR STUDENT.
You will be able to quietly observe the Dress Rehearsal in the auditorium.
Please do not cross the tape to sit toward the front. That area is reserved for instructors only.
Thank you for helping us keep distractions to a minimum.

✓ Each routine will be called to the stage.

✓ If you are not in the auditorium when your routine is called to the stage, we will not be able to wait for you.

✓ The teacher will walk the students through the process of performing and have them run the routine at least once, sometimes twice.

✓ When they are done with their routine, students will NOT be released to the auditorium.  Students will be walked back to the lobby.  You will need to meet your student in the lobby.

✓ If your dancer has another routine, please help them change and bring them back into the auditorium.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance with this extremely important part of the process!
